Ready To Walk Into A Better Place

A while ago I signed up to get Tammy Trent's newsletter and sometimes I read it and sometimes I don't.  She can be a little too upbeat for a depressed person, but she does know her stuff.  This week she wrote a sentence or two that particularly touched me.  The title of her post was, "God is Preparing You Today" and within her writing I came upon a sentence telling me that God is doing a work in me now to prepare me for the day that He will "open up all the doors" and allow me to "walk into that new place".

So my question is how long?  And there is no answer.  God does things in his own time so we just move on day by day without knowing that answer. I am still searching for light and most days there is some, but I admit that the darkness does creep in and I start to lose all hope.  That is when I remind myself that it is temporary and tomorrow will undoubtedly be better.  I've been telling myself that for a long time now, so I know to just hold on until the light returns, even if it's fleeting.

Most people will tell you that because of their family and friends they were able to get through the difficult times.  I envy the backup they have.  When they fall, there are earthly arms to catch them and love them and help them through.  I have to agree that having those people in life is most important, and I've found out how cold the world is without them.  I always pray for those of you who are without anyone, so don't think that you are alone in your plight.

"Ahhhh look at all the lonely people... where do they all belong?" (Beatles)  I pray that soon God will open the doors so we can enter that "new place" where we belong.  Keep your shoes handy.

Who is Tammy Trent?  In short she is a cute, blond, Christian singing dynamo who has had her own tragedy to overcome when she lost her beloved husband in a diving accident.
I saw Tammy and her husband Trent in person years ago at a Church in Florida when they came to sing and talk to the teens.  My daughter was there and thought they made such a cute couple, we all did.  Tammy and Trent were very inspirational and I am glad she went on to continue to be so.
You can read about her here and go ahead and sign up for her newsletter, which I'm sure you'll like.
